How to Hide a Joomla Module on Specific Pages
Edit the module rather than the template
Open System → Manage Panel → Site Modules and select the module. Joomla provides page-level module control through Menu Assignment, so you normally do not need template PHP conditions just to suppress a module on several menu-item pages.
Choose On all pages except those selected
In Menu Assignment, set Module Assignment to On all pages except those selected. Joomla will show the menu-item tree. This mode is useful when a module should be broadly visible but excluded from a small number of specific pages.
Select every page that should hide the module
Check the menu items where the module must not display. Save the module. Remember that the selection represents Joomla menu items, not arbitrary URL strings, so confirm which menu item owns the route when the same content can be reached in different ways.
Check inherited routing expectations
A module excluded from a parent menu item is not automatically proof that every child route will behave as you expect. Review and select the actual menu items relevant to the pages you are testing. For menu modules, also distinguish the module’s own menu-rendering options from its page assignment.
Test selected and unselected pages
Visit each excluded page and several pages where the module should remain visible. Test the exact frontend URLs used by visitors. If the result looks stale, clear appropriate Joomla, page, reverse-proxy, or CDN caches before changing the assignment again.
Rule out a different copy of the module
Joomla allows multiple instances of the same module type and modules can have similar titles or content. If something still appears on an excluded page, use the Site Modules list, position, module ID, ordering, and content to confirm that the visible output is actually the module you edited.
Recheck exclusions after menu changes
When menu items are replaced or new routes are introduced, revisit exclusion-based assignments. A new menu item is not automatically one of the previously selected exceptions, so a module configured for all pages except selected pages can begin appearing on newly created pages unless you add the new menu item to the exclusions.
