Download and Understand the QCBM Recovery Report

The QCBM Recovery Report is the audit record for a Recovery Runner operation. It explains what Backup Set was used, where it was recovered, which file/database strategies were selected, what QCBM changed, what it validated, and whether warnings or rollback state remain.

For a successfully completed recovery, downloading the finalized report is mandatory before the runner enables Close.

When the Report Is Available

During a failed or paused operation, the runner can offer Download Current Report when report data is available. After successful validation and cleanup, QCBM prepares the finalized report for mandatory browser download.

Recovery Overview and Timing

The report identifies the Backup Set, operation ID, runner version, backup/recovery type, destination mode, Recovery Package, operator information, start/completion times, final status, and performance metrics for recovery phases.

Source and Destination

Review the recorded source domain/root and backup verification, then the target domain, locked Joomla root, locked tmp/log paths, and protected recovery workspace. These details make it clear which environment the operation actually touched.

Recovery Configuration

The report records the destination-file strategy, database action, server-control strategy, administrator action, whether the filesystem/database were modified, and configuration validation results.

Database Recovery Details

For database recovery, the report includes the target database/prefix, statements processed, tables/views/triggers created, deferred/skipped foreign keys, and any pre-recovery cleanup/rollback scope.

File and Server-Control Details

File recovery records files processed/created/overwritten, restored directories, destination cleanup, source safety copies, and server-control decisions.

When .htaccess review is required, the report can include the preserved source filename, active destination status, temporary baseline status, RewriteBase, server family, and routing-check results.

Validation, Warnings, and Errors

The Validation Results section records health checks and whether all required checks passed. Warnings and Errors lists issues encountered during the operation so you can distinguish a clean completion from one that still needs review.

Cleanup and Rollback Status

The report records whether the runner was disabled, uploaded Recovery Package cleanup results, final report-delivery preparation, whether rollback remained available, and any runtime rollback actions.

Secrets Are Redacted

Credentials and secrets are intentionally excluded/redacted from the report. The report is still sensitive operational evidence because it contains paths, database names/prefixes, domains, actions, and recovery outcomes, so store it with appropriate access controls.

Why You Must Download It Before Close

The final Close operation removes the last disabled runner file. QCBM requires the finalized report to be delivered first so the operator leaves the recovery session with a durable record of what happened.
