Customize the QCDS Frontend Identity Heading

The QCDS Frontend appearance settings control one global identity block shown above the persistent QCDS frontend navigation. You can show or hide the block and customize its kicker, title, and description without changing each page's own heading.

This is an installation-wide presentation setting for the QCDS frontend, not a Template- or Request-specific branding field.

Open Frontend Appearance

  1. Go to Components > QC Digital Signature > Settings.
  2. Find Frontend appearance.
  3. Set Show Frontend Identity Heading to Enabled or Hidden.
  4. Edit the Kicker, Title, and Description as needed.
  5. Select Save Settings and reload the QCDS frontend.

The Four Identity Controls

  • Show Frontend Identity Heading: hides or displays the entire global identity block.
  • Frontend Kicker: a short line above the title. Default: Document Signing. Maximum 80 characters.
  • Frontend Title: the main identity heading. Default: Digital Signatures. Maximum 160 characters.
  • Frontend Description: supporting text below the title. Default: Create, send, and manage documents for electronic signature. Maximum 500 characters.

Leave an individual Kicker, Title, or Description blank to omit that line. If all three text values are blank, QCDS renders no identity block even when the Show setting is enabled.

What Hiding the Identity Heading Does

Setting Show Frontend Identity Heading to Hidden removes only the global identity block. QCDS keeps the primary frontend navigation and the normal page-specific headings for Dashboard, Requests, Templates, Contacts, Email Templates, Settings, and other frontend views.

This lets a site use its Joomla template or surrounding page chrome for the main brand identity without stripping the labels users need inside QCDS.

Where the Heading Appears

The current QCDS frontend renders the identity block above the persistent primary navigation. The global block uses its own qcds-frontend-identity-heading class, while each page continues to render its own page title below the navigation.

White-Label Use

The Frontend appearance text can use your organization's signing-workspace name and description. QCDS does not add QuantaCade vendor branding to this public frontend identity block. Use neutral wording that remains appropriate across all frontend sections rather than text that describes only one Request or Template.

Verify at More Than One Page

After saving, check at least Dashboard, Requests, and Templates. If you hide the global identity block, confirm that navigation and each page's own heading are still present. If you also use Custom CSS, test the identity block after CSS changes so a styling rule is not mistaken for a saved heading-setting problem.
