QCDR Plans and Feature Access: Basic, Pro, Max, and All Access

QCDR evaluates gated features against the installation's current Effective tier. Basic contains the core rendered-output engine; Pro adds contextual targeting and safer testing; Max adds the most technical targeting/data capabilities. All Access gives QCDR the same effective feature rank as Max.

Basic: Core Runtime Replacement

Basic includes the QCDR foundation needed to create useful frontend transformations:

  • core direct-value Rules and rendered-output processing;
  • page, menu-item, and URL targeting;
  • plain-text Tokens;
  • Rule/Token libraries, ordering/state controls, Live Processing switches, and core safety limits;
  • Authorized-Domain/Basic entitlement status and Joomla update integration.

Basic is also the safe fallback when no valid paid/preview entitlement is available or when required entitlement automation is structurally unhealthy.

Pro: Context, Scheduling, Rich Tokens, and Private Rule Testing

Pro adds the feature groups that QCDR marks as Pro-required:

  • component/module extension targeting;
  • guest/logged-in/Joomla-group audience targeting;
  • scheduling and recurrence controls;
  • Stop Processing;
  • rich and nested Tokens;
  • private Rule Preview and Rule Health.

Some operations also require the matching Joomla ACL in addition to the tier—for example, private Rule testing requires the QCDR Test Rules permission.

Max: Technical Targeting, Dynamic Data, PHP, and Discovery

Max adds QCDR's most technical capabilities:

  • IP address/range/CIDR targeting;
  • technical request/Joomla conditions;
  • opt-in processing inside normally protected areas;
  • Joomla content/dynamic-data Tokens;
  • PHP Tokens; and
  • Discovery and its frontend-analysis tools.

PHP Tokens require both Max-level Effective tier and the dedicated Manage PHP Tokens Joomla permission. Discovery likewise requires its QCDR Discovery permission. The tier alone never overrides Joomla ACL.

All Access

When QCDR is authorized through QuantaCade All Access, QCDR exposes Max-level feature access. The Status UI identifies the entitlement source as All Access and presents the underlying Base tier as Max via All Access.

Max Preview Temporarily Changes Effective Access

An eligible one-time 30-Day Max Preview temporarily sets Effective access to Max without converting the underlying Base tier. When the preview ends, QCDR returns to the still-valid underlying Basic or Pro entitlement.

Feature Access Can Change Without Deleting Configuration

Higher-tier Rule or Token configuration is preserved when Effective access drops. Locked capabilities stop qualifying for runtime use until a valid entitlement returns; the downgrade is not an instruction to erase the administrator's stored configuration.

Always check Status → Current Entitlement when a previously available control becomes locked. A task-integrity problem can force Effective tier to Basic even when the installation previously had a paid tier.
