Refresh QCDR Entitlement and Interpret the Result

Refresh Entitlement asks QuantaCade to resolve the current QCDR entitlement for this installation and stores the returned state. Use it after changing Authorized Domains, after repairing entitlement automation, or when Status needs an immediate check instead of waiting for the next hourly task.

Run a Manual Refresh

  1. Open QC Dynamic Replacer → Status or Settings.
  2. Confirm the displayed Domain is the site you expect.
  3. Select Refresh Entitlement. Your Joomla account must have the QCDR Manage License permission.
  4. Read the returned message, then review Status → Current Entitlement.

Refresh Entitlement uses the current entitlement path. It does not start an unused one-time Max Preview.

Entitlement Automation Must Be Structurally Healthy

QCDR refuses to activate or refresh paid/preview access when Entitlement Revalidation is missing, disabled, unpublished, duplicated, or scheduled slower than hourly. In that condition the result explains that Basic remains active. Repair the task from Status as a Super User, then refresh again.

Successful Authorized-Domain Result

On a successful validation QCDR updates the locally signed entitlement state, including the Base tier, Effective tier, verification source, known access/preview timing, last-valid time, message, and next automatic check. Status then shows the resolved state.

A Basic response is not automatically an error. It can mean the domain has no current paid entitlement for QCDR. If you expected Pro/Max/All Access, use Manage Authorized Domains to verify the account-side assignment and then refresh again.

Temporary Transport Failure

If QCDR cannot reach the entitlement service, it records the failed attempt and schedules a sooner retry. A previously confirmed paid tier or active preview can be retained only when it is still eligible for QCDR's bounded 24-hour communication grace and has not passed a known expiration.

If there is no eligible recent confirmation—or the known paid/preview expiration has passed—Basic remains active until entitlement can be confirmed again.

Invalid, Revoked, or Expired Results

An explicit server result such as invalid, revoked, deactivated, disabled, cancelled, or expired fails closed. QCDR does not use transport grace to keep paid features alive after an authoritative terminal result.

Likewise, an active preview stops locally at its fixed end time. If a valid Pro Base entitlement remains, QCDR returns to Pro; otherwise it returns to Basic.

Read These Status Fields Together

  • Status — customer-facing interpretation such as Active, Max Preview Active, Communication Grace, or a Basic fallback state.
  • Base tier — underlying Basic/Pro/Max (or Max via All Access).
  • Effective tier — feature tier QCDR is currently permitting.
  • Verification — Authorized Domain, Authorized Domain + All Access, 30-Day Max Preview, legacy compatibility, or Basic.
  • Access until / Max Preview ends — known fixed expiry where applicable.
  • Last checked / Next automatic check — freshness of the entitlement process.

If a refresh says paid entitlement is active but Effective tier still reads Basic, inspect Entitlement Automation Integrity before changing Rules or Tokens.
