Troubleshoot QCDR Authorized Domain, Tier, and Max Preview Problems

Current QCDR paid access is keyless and resolves from the site's Authorized Domain. When a paid feature appears locked, diagnose the Base tier, Effective tier, one-time Max Preview, and Entitlement Automation Integrity separately instead of reaching for a legacy license key.

Read the Current Entitlement Card First

Open QC Dynamic Replacer → Status and record Base tier, Effective tier, Verification, Domain, Last checked, Next automatic check, and any communication-grace or preview information.

Base tier is the underlying Basic/Pro/Max entitlement. Effective tier is what QCDR may actually use now after preview, task integrity, expiration, and validation freshness are applied.

Confirm the Authorized Domain

If you expect Pro, Max, or All Access, verify that the exact current hostname is authorized for QC Dynamic Replacer in your QuantaCade account. Then use Refresh Entitlement. Current activation does not require entering a customer key.

If Effective Tier Is Basic but Base Tier Looks Paid

Check Entitlement Automation Integrity. QCDR requires the Task plugin and exactly one published canonical Entitlement Revalidation task running at least once every 60 minutes. Structural failure immediately forces Effective tier to Basic until repaired.

Understand the One-Time 30-Day Max Preview

The Max Preview starts only when an authorized administrator explicitly chooses Start 30-Day Max Preview. Installing QCDR, opening Administrator, browsing the frontend, Refresh Entitlement, or the scheduled task does not consume it.

A used or expired preview cannot be restarted. An active preview elevates the Effective tier to Max while preserving the underlying Base tier and has a fixed server-authoritative end time.

Temporary Outage vs. Terminal Entitlement

QCDR allows at most a bounded 24-hour communication grace from the last confirmed-valid entitlement during eligible transport failures, and never beyond a known paid/preview expiration. Explicit invalid, expired, revoked, deactivated, disabled, or cancelled states fail closed and do not receive transport grace.

Legacy Keys Are Not the Fix

An upgraded site may still show a read-only Legacy License Key. Current Authorized Domain entitlement is authoritative. Use Clear Saved Key only to remove obsolete local key/updater state after confirming the domain entitlement; it does not delete Rules, Tokens, settings, or preview history.
