Download and Use the QCFUM Sample CSV
QCFUM generates a sample CSV directly from the current component so frontend staff can start with the exact supported header structure. The sample is available from the unified Import workflow when CSV Import is available to the current user.
The sample deliberately contains no password column. Direct-created users receive QCFUM’s private generated-password workflow, while Invite Link recipients choose their own password during account setup.
Download the Sample
- Open the QCFUM frontend Dashboard and choose Import.
- Select Download Sample CSV. The browser receives
qcfum-sample-import.csv. - Open the file in a spreadsheet or text editor without renaming/removing the header row.
- Replace the example people and Profile/Invite Pack titles with your real onboarding data.
- Upload the CSV or paste the rows into QCFUM, then Preview when required before committing.

QCFUM builds this sample at runtime and downloads it through a CSV data URL; it is not a static password-bearing template stored on disk.
What the Columns Mean
| Column | Sample purpose |
|---|---|
| name | Required display name for the person. |
| Required email address. | |
| username | Optional Joomla username; blank lets QCFUM derive one. |
| method | Optional row mode such as direct or invite. |
| profile | Optional User Type Profile title used for Direct Create rows. |
| invite_pack | Optional Invite Pack title used for Invite rows. |
Use Titles, Not Database IDs
The sample uses friendly Profile and Invite Pack titles such as Default Registered User and Starter Invite Pack. Replace those values with titles that exist and are currently usable on your site rather than inserting internal database IDs.
Never Add Password Columns
QCFUM explicitly rejects headers normalized to password, pass, temporary_password, temp_password, or new_password. Do not collect account passwords in your spreadsheet. The CSV workflow is intentionally designed so password secrets are not imported as business data.
The Sample Does Not Bypass Validation
Using the generated sample gives you the correct header shape, but every import still has to pass the current Pro+ entitlement, administrator settings, frontend ACL, 2 MB file cap, configured row limit, duplicate rules, and Profile/Invite Pack validation.
