QCFUM Bulk Password, Reset, Status, and Delete Actions
The QCFUM 2.0.4 Users interface offers five bulk choices when the relevant settings allow them: require password reset, reset password by email, block, unblock, and delete using the configured deletion behavior. These choices are designed to reuse the corresponding single-user handlers.
Current limitation: the 2.0.4 bulk form is blocked by the generic missing-target_user_id validation described in the Bulk Actions guide, so these bulk choices should not be treated as operational until that defect is fixed.
Actions Present in the 2.0.4 UI
| Bulk choice | Intended individual handler |
|---|---|
| Require password reset | Marks the eligible Joomla account requireReset. |
| Reset password by email | Generates a private temporary password and requires reset. |
| Disable / Block | Sets Joomla block=1. |
| Enable / Unblock | Sets Joomla block=0 without clearing activation. |
| Delete / configured delete behavior | Appears only when deletion is enabled and follows hard-delete, block-first, or approval rules. |
What Is Not a Bulk Choice
The 2.0.4 selector does not offer bulk identity editing, group editing, activation clearing, or the QCFUM MFA administrative flag. Those remain single-target workflows.
Intended Result Accounting
The bulk branch is designed to count Processed, Skipped, and Failed targets, send the acting manager a bulk_action_summary email when their email is valid, and audit the aggregate action. A non-editable target would be skipped before the individual action handler is called.
Do Not Infer Success from the Visible Control
Because the current pre-branch target check prevents the bulk loop from running, seeing the selector or selecting users is not evidence that 2.0.4 can process the batch. Use single-user actions until the handler is corrected, then regression-test every listed bulk action independently.
