Customize QCFUM Frontend Appearance and Frontend Text
QCFUM provides a compact site-wide appearance system plus optional text for specific frontend workflows. These controls change QCFUM output without editing extension files and are intentionally narrower than the older per-view design system.
The current appearance controls are available through administrator design/settings access; advanced arbitrary CSS remains a separate Max / All Access feature.
Set the Site-Wide Appearance
Open QCFUM Administrator → Settings → Frontend Appearance. You can set Accent color, Button background, Button text color, Surface background, and Corner style. Corner style accepts Square, Slight, or Rounded. Invalid colors/corner values fall back to safe defaults.
Understand What the Controls Affect
QCFUM converts these settings into CSS variables for buttons, forms, fields, tables, checkboxes, selected states, and interface radius. The surface background is reused across QCFUM forms, cards, fields, and list surfaces so the frontend stays visually consistent.
Add Optional Frontend Headings and Help Text
QCFUM has optional Heading and Intro / help text fields for ten scopes: Create/Invite/CSV form, CSV Preview, CSV Results, Join Code, Tracker, Approval Queue, Activity Log, Recent Users, Invite account setup, and Frontend User Manager. Blank values render nothing. Saved text is HTML-escaped and line breaks in help text are preserved.
Know What Is Deliberately Dormant
Legacy per-view Frontend Design values and old per-text color/font-size values remain stored for rollback/backward safety, but current 2.0.4 does not apply them. Product tabs and the broader interface structure remain product-controlled rather than individually restyled through those legacy controls.
Test on the Real Frontend
After saving, open the unified Dashboard plus any public Invite/Join workflow you use. Confirm contrast, button readability, surface colors, corner treatment, and any custom headings on desktop and mobile before adding Custom CSS.
