Manage Core QCLF Email Templates

QCLF 1.1.27 defines 70 canonical email/notification events, and its default-template reconciler maintains one protected Core template for each event. Core templates are the factory routing layer; they can be customized without becoming deletable records.

Each Core template keeps the registry-defined trigger and default recipient role. Administrators edit presentation/content and publication state rather than redefining what product event the Core template represents.

Edit a Core Template

  1. Open Components > QC Live Forum > Email.
  2. Filter to Core if needed and open the template.
  3. Edit the title, description, subject, and required Plain Text body.
  4. On Pro/Max/All Access, optionally choose Custom HTML and enter a custom HTML body.
  5. Choose Published or Unpublished and save.
  6. Use Send Test to check rendering/transport separately from a real forum event.

Core Routing Is Protected

The event registry fixes each Core template’s trigger and default recipient. QCLF’s reconciliation service restores those routing fields if older data drifts. Core rows cannot be deleted through the Email workspace.

Factory HTML Reconciliation

Core templates carry built-in responsive HTML generated from the current plain body. If the stored Core HTML is blank or still matches a distributed/default variant, reconciliation can regenerate it from the current plain body/title. Arbitrary administrator-authored Custom HTML is not overwritten as though it were a factory copy.

Duplicate Is a Max Custom Action

On Max/All Access, Duplicate can copy either a Core or Custom template, but the new record is always a Custom template and starts Unpublished. Duplicating does not create a second Core template.

Publication Is Per Template

Core templates can be published or unpublished independently. Only published templates matching an emitted event and recipient role participate in actual email delivery.
