Review QCLF Moderation History

QCLF records moderator actions in #__qcforum_moderation_actions and exposes them through the frontend Moderation → History view.

The History view is permission-aware: a forum-wide/global moderator can see all moderation-action rows, while a scoped moderator sees only Topic/Category activity and sanction records that fall inside effective moderation scope.

What the History View Shows

  • Action name, such as Lock, Move, Merge, Split, Restore, Purge, sanction or report-related moderation events.
  • The moderator who performed the action.
  • Section/Category location when the associated Topic still resolves.
  • The action timestamp in the normal QCLF display timezone.

Scope Rules

For scoped moderators, Topic-linked history is included when the Topic Category is in their moderation Category set. Sanction actions are included for global sanctions plus Category/Section sanctions whose scope the moderator is allowed to manage. Global moderators use an unrestricted history query.

Pagination and Ordering

The main History view counts matching rows, sorts newest first by creation time and ID, and paginates 20 entries per page. The Users moderation panel can separately load up to 150 scoped history rows for one selected subject user.

History Survives Content Cleanup Where Possible

Moderation records are evidence, not forum content. Operations such as permanent Topic purge deliberately create/retain audit records even though the underlying Topic may later disappear; when the Topic no longer exists, some location context can no longer be joined for display.
