Complete a Paid QCMM Checkout and Payment Capture

A paid QCMM checkout is not complete merely because a PayPal window closes. QCMM creates a PayPal order, verifies a completed capture, then finalizes the subscription, billing history, notifications, and any applicable Meeting booking.

Paid Checkout Sequence

  1. QCMM calculates the authoritative balance due and creates the local pending checkout/billing context.
  2. QCMM creates a PayPal order for the expected amount and currency.
  3. The customer approves the selected PayPal-backed funding method.
  4. QCMM captures or verifies the order server-side and requires completed capture evidence with the expected amount/currency.
  5. QCMM records the payment event and finalizes the membership/billing state.
  6. Applicable receipt/membership email delivery and Meeting booking finalization follow the committed local state.

Do Not Treat Approval as Capture

An approved or created order is not the same as a completed capture. QCMM keeps payment-event states so post-capture errors can be reconciled without pretending the customer never paid.

Verify the Result

  • Subscription is active or in the intended resulting lifecycle state.
  • Billing shows the paid amount, currency, method/reference, and zero/expected balance.
  • Payment events show completed capture/finalization rather than only order creation.
  • If the Plan includes a scheduled Meeting, the correct booking exists once.
  • Expected customer/admin emails were generated from the finalized context.
