Configure QCMM Billing Numbering
QCMM uses one global billing-number sequence for membership billing and standalone invoices. Configure the prefix, optional date segment, next sequence value, and zero-padding before issuing production records.
Number Format
Billing numbers are built from an uppercase alphanumeric prefix, an optional site-time-zone date in YYYYMMDD form, and a zero-padded numeric sequence separated by hyphens. The prefix accepts 1–16 letters or numbers.
Next Number and Padding
The next sequence must contain 1–12 digits and be between 1 and 999999999999. Leading zeros are allowed and influence the stored padding. QCMM will not let the next number move behind or equal the last issued sequence, and an existing billing number is never intentionally reused.
Preview Before Saving
Use the numbering preview to verify the exact next billing number. If the preview already exists, choose a higher next sequence. The sequence is protected transactionally so concurrent billing creation cannot safely issue the same number twice.
One Sequence for All Billing
Standalone invoices reserve from the same immutable sequence used by subscription billing. Do not maintain a second manual numbering counter for standalone invoices.
