Use Repeating Text Custom Fields and Entry Limits

Use Repeating Text when one subscription needs multiple validated text entries, with duplicate protection, entry limits, and integration-aware capacity.

Configure Repeating Text

Create a Repeating Text field and assign it to a Plan. The Plan assignment can set a maximum entry count; a value of 0 means unlimited within QCMM’s hard safety limit. Repeating Text is also the Custom Field type that can be marked Customer Can Edit in Member Area.

Validation Rules

QCMM trims entries, removes null/newline characters from each entry, rejects blanks and duplicates, limits each entry to 1,000 characters, and applies the field’s validation regular expression when configured. The normalized list is stored as durable JSON and displayed as separate lines. QCMM also caps a list at 1,000 entries and rejects data too large to store safely.

Entry Limits and Integrations

The saved Plan maximum becomes the subscription’s max entries snapshot. QCMM’s integration service can resolve an effective limit for the exact subscription and field, allowing an authorized integration to adjust capacity without changing the field’s durable values. Member Area shows the effective capacity and blocks additions when the limit is reached.

Verify

Test checkout validation, duplicate rejection, the configured limit, and—when customer editing is enabled—adding and removing entries from an active membership in Member Area.
