Understand Expiration Reminder and Membership Expired Emails
Understand QCMM expiration reminders, Membership Expired email timing, duplicate prevention, and the Lifecycle Automation task
Three Reminder Windows Are Configurable
QCMM supports Expiration Reminder 1, 2, and 3. Their default lead times are 30, 14, and 7 days before the membership end date, and administrators can configure each window from 1 through 365 days.
Lifecycle Automation Sends Due Messages
The QC Memberships & Meetings Lifecycle Automation Scheduled Task performs the broader lifecycle scan and sends due expiration reminders with duplicate/retry protection. Its default cadence is every 60 minutes.
Membership Expired Is Post-Expiration
The Membership Expired notification is handled after expiration processing. QCMM uses the configured post-expiration email delay, defaulting to one day, and records send state so the same subscription/template event is not repeatedly delivered.
Scheduled Meeting Memberships Are Different
Lifecycle reminder/expired email handling skips subscriptions whose Scheduling flag is enabled because appointment-aware messaging belongs to the Meeting notification workflow. Membership access transitions themselves are handled separately and promptly by Membership Transitions.
