Who Uses QCMM: Administrators, Members, Hosts, and Fulfillment Editors

QCMM has several practical user roles. They overlap in Joomla identity, but they are not interchangeable: being a Joomla administrator does not automatically make someone a scheduling Host or a Plan-specific Fulfillment Editor.

Use the narrowest role needed for the job, then test the real frontend workflow with an account that actually has that role.

Role Summary

RoleTypical responsibilitiesImportant boundary
AdministratorInstalls and updates QCMM; manages entitlement, Settings, Plans, billing, subscriptions, Member Area, Email, reports, CSS, scheduling configuration, and support/status checks.Backend authority does not replace Plan-specific frontend fulfillment authorization.
MemberBrowses Plans, checks out, renews where allowed, views memberships/billing/resources, and manages eligible bookings through the Dashboard.A member can act only within their own authorized records and current subscription/booking state.
HostUses the Host Schedule and assigned Meeting workflows for Plans/Meeting Times where the account is an authorized Host.Host status is a scheduling role; it does not grant general Administrator or fulfillment rights.
Fulfillment EditorUses QCMM Field Fulfillment for subscription Custom Field work on Plans whose configured Fulfillment Editor Joomla groups include that user.Authorization is Plan-specific Joomla-group membership; Host status or Joomla Administrator status is not a substitute.

Administrator Access

QCMM backend actions are protected by Joomla component administration permissions and request-token checks. Administrators should use the backend for configuration and record management rather than broadening frontend roles just to make a test pass.

Member Access

Members normally enter through the Plans and Dashboard views. The Dashboard is the durable self-service surface for membership, billing, resources, and enabled member-area content. Some features appear only when the current subscription, tier, or Plan configuration makes them relevant.

Host Access

Scheduling is a Max / All Access feature. The Host Schedule is additionally restricted by QCMM frontend scheduling user groups and actual Host/Plan assignments. A menu item can be visible while QCMM still denies the workspace if the current account is not an authorized Host.

Fulfillment Editor Access

Frontend Custom Field Fulfillment belongs to the Max Custom Fields feature family. Each Plan controls which Joomla groups may fulfill its fields. This lets a site delegate fulfillment without granting a staff member full Joomla Administrator access or making that person a Host.

Verify Each Role Safely

  1. Create or select a separate test account for the role you need to verify.
  2. Assign only the Joomla groups and QCMM Plan/Host configuration required for that role.
  3. Open the exact frontend menu item as that user, not as Super User.
  4. Confirm both allowed and intentionally denied actions. A secure role test proves that unrelated roles do not gain the same access.
