Navigate the QCMM Plans Workspace

The Plans tab is QCMM’s catalog and membership-offer workspace. It combines the hierarchy of Plan Groups and Plans with the per-Plan editor and advanced configuration that hangs from those Plans.

Use it to structure what customers can join, how cards compare, which Joomla groups a membership grants, and which optional resources, Custom Fields, scheduling, or change paths belong to a Plan.

Workspace Structure

AreaPurpose
Plan GroupsTop-level families/collections of Plans; control order, publication, desktop card columns, comparison, and membership-family/software-product metadata.
PlansIndividual membership offers inside a Plan Group; control publication, pricing, term, access groups, card/details content, features, resources, scheduling, and other Plan behavior.
Plan Custom FieldsReusable Max field definitions and per-Plan layouts/behavior.
Plan Upgrade / Change PathsAllowed member changes between related Plans.
Sample catalog controlsRestore/use bundled demonstration Groups/Plans without overriding intentional administrator-authored catalog state on upgrade.

Work with Groups and Plans

  1. Create a Plan Group first; every Plan belongs to a group.
  2. Use drag handles to reorder Plan Groups and Plans for frontend presentation.
  3. Publish only the Groups/Plans you intend customers to see; tier publication limits apply when moving an additional item into Published state.
  4. Open a Plan editor to configure membership/business behavior, then save before testing from the frontend Plans view.

Plan Editor Areas to Expect

  • Identity/presentation: title, summary/details, image/badge/featured/sample behavior, and structured features.
  • Commercial terms: site currency pricing, membership duration/no-expiration behavior, renewal/change rules, and applicable checkout controls.
  • Joomla access: Plan-assigned user groups, subject to tier-specific groups-per-Plan limits.
  • Max extensions: Custom Fields, resources/downloads, Scheduling/Meeting settings, fulfillment, and related advanced behavior.
  • Feature comparison rows: feature title, optional description, comparison label/value, publication, ordering, and up to eight highlighted card features.

Publication Limits Are Enforced at the Transition

You may keep additional Plan Groups or Plans saved as Unpublished when the current tier limit is reached. QCMM blocks publishing beyond the Effective-tier limit rather than requiring you to delete the extra configuration.

Verify on the Frontend

After editing, open the actual QCMM Plans menu item as the intended customer role. Confirm group order, card layout, comparison, publication, pricing, access, and checkout/change-path behavior. The backend workspace is configuration authority; the customer-facing test proves the configuration works in context.
