Understand Meeting Capacity, Duration, Buffers, and Entitlement Grace
Explain attendee capacity, session duration, pre/post buffers, and how Plan-controlled access may remain available for a configured period after the scheduled Meeting end.
Capacity
Capacity is the number of attendee seats on a Meeting Time. Confirmed bookings and active/protected checkout holds consume available capacity. For the built-in Meeting Room provider, QCMM applies the provider's supported attendee ceiling; the Host does not consume an attendee seat.
Duration and Buffers
Duration defines the scheduled Meeting itself. Pre-buffer and post-buffer extend the Host-conflict window around that Meeting. Availability generation also uses the buffers when spacing appointments, so back-to-back Meeting Times are not created inside protected Host time.
Booked Capacity Safety
Normal direct edits are blocked once purchased or payment-protected inventory exists. A future booked Meeting Time has a dedicated capacity-increase operation, but capacity cannot be reduced below its current value or confirmed attendee count.
Entitlement Grace
A Scheduling-enabled Plan can keep Plan-controlled entitlement active after the scheduled Meeting ends. The administrator sets this as Hours or Days; QCMM stores the value in minutes, with 0 Hours meaning access ends at the Meeting end. When a booking is finalized or rescheduled, the subscription end is recalculated from the authoritative Meeting end plus this grace period.
