Change Plans from My Membership

A customer-initiated Plan change is available only through a published administrator-defined path. QCMM sends the change through checkout so the member can review the exact commercial result before committing it.

Start from the Current Membership

Open Member Area → My Membership and choose an available Plan-change option for an Active or Pending Payment membership. QCMM verifies that the membership belongs to the signed-in user and that a published path exists from its current Plan to the selected destination.

Checkout Is the Review Boundary

Supported customer-initiated changes redirect to checkout with the existing membership identified as the predecessor. Checkout calculates the amount due today, applicable account credit or proration behavior, and the destination entitlement term before the member commits the change.

Some Configured Paths Still Require Administrator Handling

A path can exist but still be unavailable for immediate self-service. Paths marked for administrator approval, deferred-at-expiration behavior, or placeholder payment/proration handling return a message directing the member to the site administrator instead of performing an unsupported transition.

History Is Preserved

The supported change flow does not simply overwrite the old subscription’s commercial history. QCMM carries the predecessor relationship into checkout/payment processing and creates the resulting membership state through the controlled Plan-change path.

Verify the Change

  1. Confirm the destination Plan was offered from the correct membership.
  2. Review the checkout quote before payment.
  3. Complete the supported payment flow.
  4. Verify the resulting membership, billing record, dates, and Joomla access.
  5. Confirm the original membership remains available as historical evidence where applicable.
