Download a File from QCSB

This article shows how to download one authorized file through the current Workspace flow and understand why permission checks and signed item references are revalidated before content is served.

How to do it

1. Select exactly one file in the panel.
2. Click Download.
3. Save the streamed file through the browser.
4. Confirm the downloaded file opens and has the expected size/content.
5. QCSB does not expose provider credentials or unrestricted provider paths to the frontend user during download.

Verify the result

• The browser receives the intended file and it opens with the expected size/content.
• The source item remains unchanged at the provider; download is read-only.
• No provider credentials or unrestricted provider path is exposed to the frontend user.
