Customize QCSB with the Frontend Design Tab

This article introduces the seven independently saved design sections and explains that these controls produce real frontend variables rather than requiring template overrides for ordinary branding changes.

What you need to know

• Frontend Design changes the actual QCSB runtime interface. It has seven independently saved sections; the accepted current appearance is the default baseline.

How to do it

1. Open Components → QC Storage Bridge → Frontend Design.
2. Choose one of the seven design sections and change only that section first so the result is easy to identify.
3. Click the Save button inside that section; each section saves independently and preserves the others.
4. Refresh a real frontend File Workspace in another browser tab and verify the change at desktop and narrow/mobile widths.
5. Use Restore Original Defaults from Layout and Typography only when you intend to reset the complete accepted QCSB design set.

Verify the result

• Refresh the actual frontend Workspace rather than relying only on the Administrator save message.
• Verify the change with a normal user and at the screen sizes used in production.
• Confirm the change did not alter permissions, connection roots, or other independently saved design sections.
