Notification Delivery, Retries, and Why QCSB Has No Email Templates Tab
This article explains the 5-minute Notification Delivery task, retry behavior and delivery tracking; it clarifies that current source contains internal responsive templates but does not expose a customer Email Templates administrator tab.
What you need to know
- Transfer completion/failure events are persisted to a durable outbox and delivered through Joomla Mail by the 5-minute Notification Delivery task.
- QCSB 1.01.08 does not expose a customer Email Templates tab. Internal responsive templates/delivery state are maintained by the service and upgrades preserve genuine stored customizations.
Delivery lifecycle
- A qualifying transfer completion/failure event is persisted to the QCSB notification outbox.
- The canonical Notification Delivery Scheduled Task runs every 5 minutes and asks Joomla Mail to deliver pending notices.
- Temporary delivery failures remain trackable/retriable according to the delivery state instead of changing the completed file-transfer result.
- Administrator Status/task health is the place to diagnose whether the delivery worker is running.
Why there is no Email Templates tab
QCSB 1.01.08 contains service-managed responsive notification templates and delivery state, but it intentionally does not expose a customer-facing Email Templates Administrator tab. Documentation should not instruct administrators to look for one.
Verify the result
- Status shows the canonical task as healthy and published.
- The cadence matches the current required interval.
- A manual/next scheduled run finishes without a repeated non-zero exit state.
