Filter the Current QCSB File List

This article shows how to use the panel filter to narrow the currently loaded file/folder list and understand that filtering is a view operation rather than a new provider-wide search.

What you need to know

• Filtering, sorting, and pagination operate on the current panel/listing. In multi-panel layouts, each panel maintains its own browse/paging context.

How to do it

1. Open the target storage panel and wait for its current folder listing to load.
2. Enter text in the panel filter control to narrow the already-loaded listing.
3. Review the visible rows before using Select All; selection applies to the items currently shown by the filter/page.
4. Clear the filter to return to the full cached listing.
5. If provider data changed outside QCSB, refresh/browse again so the underlying listing is current before relying on the filter.
