Navigate the QCSB Frontend File Workspace

This article orients administrators to users to the current Workspace header, storage panels, folder breadcrumbs, file list, action controls, transfer center, and any Recovery section visible to their plan and permissions.

How to do it

  1. Open the published File Workspace menu item while signed in as an allowed user.
  2. Use each visible storage panel’s folder rows to navigate downward. Use the parent/up control to move toward the configured root.
  3. Use the panel toolbar for allowed file actions; controls may be hidden or disabled when the current role, connection override, plan, or provider state does not allow the action.
  4. Use filter, sort, and page-size controls within the current panel; these operate independently per panel.
  5. Open Transfers at the bottom of the Workspace when you need job progress/details, and Recovery Vault controls only when the current entitlement/permission allows management.

Verify the result

  • An allowed normal account can open the intended Workspace.
  • An account outside the allowed rules cannot use the Workspace/action.
  • Connection overrides and source/destination permissions behave exactly as configured.

Important limits and mistakes to avoid

  • A successful Super User test does not prove a normal Joomla group has correct Workspace access. Test with the real role.

Troubleshooting

  • If an action is missing/denied, check Joomla menu access, Workspace allowed group, Workspace role, custom denies, connection override, and plan gate separately.
