Reset a QCSB Workspace Layout

This article shows how to return the visible panel arrangement and widths to the Workspace defaults without altering files, connection definitions, or administrator permissions.

How to do it

  1. Open the affected frontend Workspace.
  2. Click Reset layout.
  3. Confirm the current user’s panel arrangement returns to the Workspace/default layout.
  4. Reload the page to verify the reset preference persisted.
  5. This does not edit the administrator’s Workspace, delete connections, or change permissions.

Verify the result

  • An allowed normal account can open the intended Workspace.
  • An account outside the allowed rules cannot use the Workspace/action.
  • Connection overrides and source/destination permissions behave exactly as configured.

Important limits and mistakes to avoid

  • A successful Super User test does not prove a normal Joomla group has correct Workspace access. Test with the real role.

Troubleshooting

  • If an action is missing/denied, check Joomla menu access, Workspace allowed group, Workspace role, custom denies, connection override, and plan gate separately.
