Authorized Domains and Keyless QCSB Entitlement
This article explains the current Authorized-Domain licensing model, domain-based entitlement resolution, paid access without customer-entered current license keys, and the relationship between local state and QuantaCade entitlement authority.

Current entitlement flow
- Install QCSB without pasting a current license key into Joomla.
- Manage the site under QuantaCade Authorized Domains when paid entitlement is required.
- Use Refresh Entitlement when an administrator needs an immediate check.
- QCSB stores signed local entitlement state and the hourly Entitlement Revalidation task keeps above-Basic access current.
- If entitlement becomes authoritatively Basic/expired/revoked/wrong-domain, paid features lock without deleting saved connections, Workspaces, or protected history.
Base tier vs Effective tier
The Base tier is the underlying product entitlement. The Effective tier is what QCSB may use now after considering All Access or an active Max Preview. All Access/Preview can make Effective Max without rewriting the Base tier.
Verify the result
- Status shows the expected Base tier and Effective tier.
- Verification/domain state is current and the hourly Entitlement Revalidation task is healthy.
- Stored Workspaces/connections remain intact if Effective tier falls.
Important limits and mistakes to avoid
- Do not reintroduce obsolete key-entry or short-preview instructions; 1.01.08 uses Authorized Domains and the explicit one-time 30-Day Max Preview.
