Install or Upgrade QC Storage Bridge and Verify Version 1.01.08

This article shows how to install the outer QCSB package over an existing installation, verify the component, connector plugins and task plugin, confirm version 1.01.08, and preserve existing QCSB configuration and data during normal upgrades.

Install or upgrade safely

  1. Create or verify a current Joomla backup before changing the installed package.
  2. In Joomla Administrator, open System → Install → Extensions.
  3. Install the outer QC Storage Bridge 1.01.08 package over the existing installation; do not uninstall first for a normal upgrade.
  4. Open Components → QC Storage Bridge → Status and confirm the installed version is 1.01.08.
  5. Confirm the component, task plugin, and Local/FTP/SFTP/Google Drive/OneDrive connector plugins are present and enabled.
  6. Open System → Scheduled Tasks and confirm the four canonical QCSB tasks exist and are published.
  7. Retest one existing Storage Connection and one frontend Workspace before declaring the upgrade complete.
