Check for and Install QC Storage Bridge Updates

This article shows how to use the Status update section to review installed/available versions, update site state and last check, request a Joomla update check, and run an allowed package update without pasting a current license key.

What you need to know

• QCSB is preservation-first: normal upgrades install the outer package over the current installation, and downgrade/uninstall behavior does not intentionally erase stored configuration/history merely because a feature is no longer usable.

How to do it

1. Take a current Joomla/site backup.
2. Open QC Storage Bridge → Status and click Check for Updates.
3. Review Installed version, Available version, and Update site.
4. When an update is available and your Joomla account has Extension Manager permission, click Upgrade QC Storage Bridge.
5. QCSB updates as an outer Joomla package so the component, task plugin, and connector plugins advance together.
6. After upgrade, recheck Status/Scheduled Tasks and test a connection, Workspace operation, and any provider OAuth callback you actively use.
