QC Storage Bridge Notification Delivery Scheduled Task

This article documents the 5-minute task that processes pending transfer notifications, sends through Joomla Mail, records deliveries, and schedules retry after transient failures.

What you need to know

• Transfer completion/failure events are persisted to a durable outbox and delivered through Joomla Mail by the 5-minute Notification Delivery task.
• QCSB 1.01.08 does not expose a customer Email Templates tab. Internal responsive templates/delivery state are maintained by the service and upgrades preserve genuine stored customizations.
• The canonical task cadences are: Entitlement Revalidation 60 minutes, Transfer Continuation 5 minutes, Recovery Vault Cleanup 60 minutes, and Notification Delivery 5 minutes.

What the 5-minute task does

• Runs every 5 minutes at the canonical schedule.
• Reads pending durable notification-outbox entries created by qualifying transfer completion/failure events.
• Delivers through Joomla Mail using the service-managed QCSB notification content.
• Tracks/retries temporary delivery failures independently of the completed file-operation result.
• Has no customer-facing Email Templates tab in QCSB 1.01.08; use task/Joomla Mail health when diagnosing delivery.

Verify the result

• Status shows the canonical task as healthy and published.
• The cadence matches the current required interval.
• A manual/next scheduled run finishes without a repeated non-zero exit state.

Troubleshooting

• On a quiet site, use server cron for Joomla scheduler:run --all rather than assuming Lazy Scheduler will run on time.
