QC Storage Bridge Transfer Continuation Scheduled Task

This article documents the 5-minute operational task that resumes eligible unfinished Pro+ transfer jobs and rechecks current authority before continuing them.

What you need to know

• QCSB uses durable jobs but follows an immediate-first model: the request attempts ordinary work immediately, and only unfinished work remains for continuation.
• Pro/Max/All Access can use the 5-minute Transfer Continuation task. The worker rechecks the original user’s current authority before contacting a provider.
• The canonical task cadences are: Entitlement Revalidation 60 minutes, Transfer Continuation 5 minutes, Recovery Vault Cleanup 60 minutes, and Notification Delivery 5 minutes.

What the 5-minute task does

• Runs every 5 minutes at the canonical schedule.
• Continues eligible unfinished durable transfer items on Pro/Max/All Access after the immediate initiating request has done what it can.
• Does not replay items already completed successfully merely because another item remains.
• Rechecks the original user’s current authorization before provider work, so a later permission/entitlement change can stop continuation safely.
• Updates job/item progress and terminal state for the frontend Transfers surface/details.

Verify the result

• The durable job reaches the expected terminal state: completed, completed with warnings, failed, or cancelled.
• Successful items remain successful; failed/retried items report their own sanitized outcome.
• For a Move, the source is removed only after the destination is verified and the source has required Recovery protection.

Troubleshooting

• On a quiet site, use server cron for Joomla scheduler:run --all rather than assuming Lazy Scheduler will run on time.
