Publish a QCSB File Workspace Joomla Menu Item

This article shows how to create the QC Storage Bridge File Workspace menu item, select the required Workspace ID, choose Joomla menu Access, publish it, and test with a normal frontend account.

How to do it

  1. Open Joomla Menus and choose the menu that should contain the file area.
  2. Create a new menu item and set Menu Item Type to QC Storage Bridge → File Workspace.
  3. Select the QCSB Workspace in the menu-item parameters.
  4. Set the Joomla Access level for the intended audience and publish the item.
  5. Test with a normal allowed user. Joomla menu access only controls whether the route is reachable; QCSB still applies Workspace group roles, connection overrides, and server-side permission checks.

Verify the result

  • An allowed normal account can open the intended Workspace.
  • An account outside the allowed rules cannot use the Workspace/action.
  • Connection overrides and source/destination permissions behave exactly as configured.

Important limits and mistakes to avoid

  • A successful Super User test does not prove a normal Joomla group has correct Workspace access. Test with the real role.

Troubleshooting

  • If an action is missing/denied, check Joomla menu access, Workspace allowed group, Workspace role, custom denies, connection override, and plan gate separately.
