Use the QCST Status Tab to Check Installation Health
This article explains current entitlement, Base/Effective tier, verification state, version/update status, task integrity, and which warnings need action.
Where this fits in QC Support Ticket
QCST separates customer access, frontend support work, and Joomla administrator configuration. A QCST Frontend Agent can work tickets in the Agent Queue without being granted Joomla backend administration, while administrator actions remain governed by Joomla ACL and QCST-specific permissions.
Primary location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Support Ticket → Status.
How to do it
- Open Components → QC Support Ticket → Status.
- Read the installed version and Joomla update state first; unexpected version drift can invalidate later troubleshooting.
- Review Base Tier, Effective Tier, Authorized-Domain/verification state and relevant access dates.
- Review Entitlement Revalidation task integrity. Missing, disabled, duplicate, invalid or overdue canonical task state requires attention before relying on paid features.
- Use the other operational task information to identify a repeatedly failed email, mailbox or report routine, then troubleshoot that subsystem rather than changing unrelated settings.
Important behavior and limits
- QCST 1.0.42 uses Authorized Domains for current entitlement; customers do not paste a current license key into Joomla.
- The one-time 30-Day Max Preview starts only from the explicit administrator action and requires a healthy canonical Entitlement Revalidation task.
Current-version note
This documentation is based on QC Support Ticket 1.0.42, the package currently deployed on the QuantaCade production site. The behavior described for Use the QCST Status Tab to Check Installation Health should be checked against the current screen labels before applying instructions to an older QCST release.
What the Status tab shows
| Status area | What to inspect |
|---|---|
| Current Entitlement | Status, Base tier, Effective tier, Verification, Domain, optional masked legacy key, preview end, last/next check. |
| Entitlement Revalidation task | Canonical task integrity/health so missing, disabled, duplicate or failing task states can be separated from a normal entitlement result. |
| Installation | Product code, installed version and Installation UUID. |
| Tier Feature Snapshot | Quick Basic/Pro/Max feature-access examples and current email format capability. |
| Extension Update | Installed/available version, update-site state, last check, Check for Updates and eligible Upgrade action. |
Health-check order
When a customer reports “licensing” or “updates” as broken, start here. Record the installed version and task health first, then the domain/tier/verification state, then the update-site result. This prevents a missing Scheduled Task or disabled Joomla update site from being misdiagnosed as a paid-entitlement failure.
