Edit or Delete a Scheduled Report

This article explains safe maintenance and that deleting the schedule does not delete historical tickets/report data.

Where this fits in QC Support Ticket

Reporting is plan-aware. Core ticket totals remain available on all plans; Pro adds report filters, CSV export, and satisfaction features; Max adds advanced analytics and scheduled report delivery.

Primary location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Support Ticket → Tickets.

Before you begin

  • Confirm the site currently has Max / All Access effective access before expecting the controls described here. A preserved configuration may still exist after downgrade even when the feature is locked.
  • Take a current backup and use a test or low-risk record first when the action can change or remove routing, relationships, or installed files.
  • Open Joomla Scheduled Tasks and confirm the QCST task plugin is installed and enabled before changing task intervals or CRON.

How to do it

  1. Open the scheduled-report list and edit the target schedule to change recipients, timing, filters, report type, CSV option or Published state.
  2. Save and confirm the next-run calculation.
  3. To remove the schedule entirely, use Delete and confirm.
  4. Deleting the schedule removes future automation, not the historical support tickets or reportable ticket data.

Important behavior and limits

  • Prefer unpublishing/retiring configuration first when you need to stop future use but preserve historical context; deletion should be deliberate.

Verify the result

  • Report totals/filters match a small known set of test tickets in the selected date and Department scope.
  • The expected QCST routine exists once, is Published at the intended cadence, and completes without a repeated error state.

If it does not work as expected

  • If totals appear wrong, confirm the date/time-zone range and Department/Category filter before assuming stored ticket data is wrong.
  • If a due task does not run on a quiet site, verify server CRON rather than repeatedly changing the QCST interval.
  • For entitlement warnings, separate structural task health (missing/disabled/duplicate/slow) from temporary network/validation results.
