Export the Pro QCST Ticket Report to CSV
This guide shows Export CSV, included ticket/requester/routing/status/dates/satisfaction columns, and the spreadsheet-injection safety behavior.
Where this fits in QC Support Ticket
Reporting is plan-aware. Core ticket totals remain available on all plans; Pro adds report filters, CSV export, and satisfaction features; Max adds advanced analytics and scheduled report delivery.
Primary location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Support Ticket → Tickets.
Before you begin
- Confirm the site currently has Pro / Max / All Access effective access before expecting the controls described here. A preserved configuration may still exist after downgrade even when the feature is locked.
How to do it
- Open the Pro report area under Tickets and apply the date/Department/Category filters you want the export to represent.
- Click Export CSV.
- Open the CSV in a spreadsheet and verify ticket reference/requester/routing/status/date/satisfaction fields match the filtered report scope.
- QCST protects dangerous spreadsheet-leading values from formula injection; do not remove that escaping merely for cosmetic reasons.
CSV safety and scope
The Pro CSV export follows the report filters you apply before export. QCST also protects spreadsheet-leading values that could otherwise be interpreted as formulas by spreadsheet software. That escaping is a security safeguard, not corrupted customer data.
Before sharing an export
- Confirm the date and Department/Category scope in the UI first.
- Open the file and spot-check several ticket references against the on-screen report.
- Treat requester/contact and support content as customer data; store/share the CSV according to your organization’s access rules.
Verify the result
- Report totals/filters match a small known set of test tickets in the selected date and Department scope.
If it does not work as expected
- If totals appear wrong, confirm the date/time-zone range and Department/Category filter before assuming stored ticket data is wrong.
CSV is a snapshot, not a live report
Once exported, the CSV no longer updates when tickets change. Record the export date/filter scope when sharing it so another administrator does not compare it with a later on-screen total and assume QCST lost records. Re-export when you need a current operational picture rather than editing old rows into a pseudo-live report.
