Choosing Between 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 Minutes
The five Maximum Scheduler Delay choices trade tighter fallback responsiveness against fewer unnecessary service wake-up opportunities when exact timing is unavailable.

Known schedules can still be smarter
When QCTNH knows a future task time, QuantaCade can schedule near that time instead of using the selected delay. More-due and busy conditions can also produce much shorter bounded follow-ups. Choose the value as a fallback tolerance, not as a fixed cron interval.
What the setting cannot override
Choosing Between 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 Minutes does not override Joomla task recurrence, task state, CLI exclusivity, locks, or extension-specific failures. QCTNH can change when an external wake-up is useful and can show the current scheduler condition, but Joomla still decides whether a task is eligible and what happens during execution.
If the Dashboard value looks correct yet a specific workload remains wrong, move the investigation to Joomla Scheduled Tasks and the owning extension rather than repeatedly changing QCTNH service settings.

- Decide how much fallback latency is acceptable when QCTNH does not have an exact future next-due time.
- Open Dashboard and compare the available values: 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 minutes.
- Choose the smallest value that matches the operational urgency of your web-runnable tasks without creating needless fallback wake-ups.
- Save the Service settings, then verify the displayed Maximum Scheduler Delay reflects the selected value.
