Pausing the Task Nudge Service

Pausing QCTNH stops QuantaCade wake-up polling while leaving Joomla Scheduled Tasks, Schedule Runner, and WebCron configuration in place.

Pause the service

  1. Open the QCTNH Dashboard.
  2. Clear Enable free QuantaCade Task Nudge service.
  3. Click Save.

Local and remote behavior

QCTNH stores service_enabled=0. When a registered identity exists, it sends a signed service-state message so QuantaCade marks the site paused. If remote synchronization cannot complete, the local pause still applies and current server-side preflight/registry behavior prevents normal wake-up polling from continuing as an active site.

What pause does not disable

Joomla’s own Lazy Scheduler, Scheduled Tasks, System - Schedule Runner plugin, and WebCron settings are not automatically turned off. Pausing QCTNH only pauses the QuantaCade Task Nudge service.

Use the Dashboard as a cross-check

The control or metric covered by Pausing the Task Nudge Service is most useful when read beside the other Dashboard evidence. Connected status alone does not prove a particular task is healthy, and a Due count alone does not prove the wake-up service is broken. Compare WebCron readiness, lock counts, next/oldest timing, QuantaCade Contact, and Recent Activity before drawing a conclusion.

That combined view usually tells you whether the next action belongs in Joomla Scheduler, QCTNH service configuration, networking/WebCron, or the extension that owns the failing task.
