Free Edition: No License Key, Subscription, or Activation

QC Task Nudge & Health 2.0.3 is a free QuantaCade extension with all current features included and no license key, subscription, or activation requirement.

What “Free — all features included” means

The Status and Support screens identify the edition as Free — all features included. There is no Basic/Pro/Max entitlement switch, no Authorized Domain license workflow, and no license key field in QCTNH.

What registration is for

QCTNH still registers its operational installation identity with the QuantaCade Task Nudge service. That registration exists so QuantaCade can securely schedule native Joomla WebCron wake-ups; it is not a paid-license activation and does not unlock a feature tier.

What you should not look for

  • A license-key field
  • A subscription status card
  • A 30-day feature preview
  • Plan-based feature restrictions

If the Dashboard says Not Connected

Treat that as a service/WebCron registration issue, not a licensing problem. Use Check WebCron to verify local WebCron readiness and Test Connection to verify registration.

What a successful baseline looks like

When the setup described in Free Edition: No License Key, Subscription, or Activation is correct, QCTNH should open normally for an authorized administrator, native Joomla WebCron should be ready, and the Dashboard should be able to calculate scheduler health instead of reporting a discovery/configuration error. The free service may be enabled or paused independently; pause is not an installation failure.

If one of those conditions is missing, fix the local Joomla prerequisite first. Repeatedly running Test Connection cannot compensate for a missing Scheduler component, disabled/missing Schedule Runner plugin, unsupported PHP/Joomla version, or an incorrect canonical site origin.
