Installing QCTNH 2.0.3

Install QCTNH as the complete package so Joomla receives the administrator component and the required System plugin together.

Before you begin

  • Use the current pkg_qctasknudge-2.0.3.zip package.
  • Confirm Joomla 5.x/6.x and PHP 8.1+.
  • Take a current site backup.

Install QCTNH 2.0.3

  1. Sign in to Joomla Administrator and open System → Install → Extensions.
  2. Upload pkg_qctasknudge-2.0.3.zip. Do not unzip and install only the component unless you are performing development work.
  3. Wait for Joomla to report a successful package installation.
  4. Open Components → QC Task Nudge & Health. The Dashboard is the default tab.
  5. Confirm the header shows the extension and the Status tab reports installed version 2.0.3.
  6. On the Dashboard, run Check WebCron. Then use Test Connection to verify the QuantaCade registration path.

Verify the result

  • QCTNH opens without a 403/schema/plugin error.
  • The System - Schedule Runner and QCTNH System plugins are enabled.
  • WebCron shows Ready.
  • The connection badge becomes Connected after successful registration.

Verify the surrounding system

After applying the guidance in Installing QCTNH 2.0.3, also confirm the Joomla side still behaves normally: Scheduled Tasks load in Joomla Administrator, task types from installed extensions are present, and the site can generate its native WebCron route. QCTNH should complement those facilities rather than replace them.

For quiet-site reliability, the final operational check is not simply “QCTNH is installed.” It is that the site has at least one eligible web-runnable task when appropriate, WebCron is ready, and the service connection can be tested from the intended public canonical URL.
