Opening QCTNH in Joomla Administrator

QCTNH is managed from Joomla Administrator under the Components menu and requires Joomla permission to manage the component.

Open QCTNH

  1. Sign in to Joomla Administrator.
  2. Choose Components → QC Task Nudge & Health.
  3. The extension opens on the Dashboard tab by default. Use the tab row to switch to About, Support, or Status.

Required permission

The administrator entry point checks core.manage for com_qctasknudge. A user without that permission receives a 403/Not authorised response. Component permissions can be managed through Joomla’s normal component Options/permissions interface.

What you should see

The page header identifies QCTNH as a free QuantaCade Joomla extension. The Dashboard shows the connection badge, scheduler metrics, Service settings, Health fields, Recent Activity, and the QuantaCade link.

Administration note

Opening QCTNH in Joomla Administrator should be evaluated from the current 2.0.3 administrator interface, not from older QCTNH builds that used development-era task mechanisms. The present product has only About, Support, Status, and Dashboard tabs and intentionally relies on native Joomla WebCron.

That matters when comparing screenshots or older notes: the absence of a QCTNH-created Scheduled Task is expected, not evidence that installation failed. Upgrade cleanup explicitly removes the retired round-trip test task/plugin when remnants are found.
