Verifying a Successful QCTNH Installation

A successful install means more than Joomla accepting the ZIP: the component, System plugin, native WebCron configuration, and registration state should all be coherent.

Installation verification checklist

  1. Open Components → QC Task Nudge & Health → Status and confirm version 2.0.3.
  2. Open the Dashboard and check the connection badge. If it is Not Connected, continue with the next checks rather than reinstalling immediately.
  3. Click Check WebCron. A successful result states that Joomla WebCron is enabled and ready and that no Scheduled Task was executed by the check.
  4. Check the Health card: Execution should read Joomla WebCron and WebCron should read Ready.
  5. Click Test Connection. A successful registration confirms that QuantaCade can use the registered native WebCron path.
  6. Open System → Scheduled Tasks and verify your normal Joomla tasks remain intact. Do not expect a new QCTNH Scheduled Task.

If registration is temporarily unavailable

The installer is designed to finish even when QuantaCade registration cannot complete. The warning says registration will retry automatically. Fix local WebCron/network problems first, then run Test Connection; uninstall/reinstall is usually unnecessary.

What a successful baseline looks like

When the setup described in Verifying a Successful QCTNH Installation is correct, QCTNH should open normally for an authorized administrator, native Joomla WebCron should be ready, and the Dashboard should be able to calculate scheduler health instead of reporting a discovery/configuration error. The free service may be enabled or paused independently; pause is not an installation failure.

If one of those conditions is missing, fix the local Joomla prerequisite first. Repeatedly running Test Connection cannot compensate for a missing Scheduler component, disabled/missing Schedule Runner plugin, unsupported PHP/Joomla version, or an incorrect canonical site origin.
