What Healthy Scheduler Health Means

Healthy is a specific QCTNH scheduler-snapshot condition, not a generic opinion about the entire Joomla site.

What Healthy means

No active lock, no stale eligible lock, and no eligible web-runnable task currently due. Future tasks may still be scheduled; Healthy does not mean “no tasks exist.”

What Healthy does not guarantee

Healthy does not validate every task’s business result, remote API, backup destination, or extension configuration. It only says the web-runnable queue currently has no overdue work or problematic lock evidence in the QCTNH snapshot.

Verify

• Due Tasks should normally be 0.
• Active Locks and Soft / Stale Locks should normally be 0.
• WebCron should be Ready if the service is expected to wake the site.

Time and lock context

What Healthy Scheduler Health Means depends on current scheduler timestamps and Joomla’s timeout-derived lock threshold. A lock is not classified only by whether it exists; QCTNH compares its age with the Scheduler timeout (with a safety minimum) to distinguish recent active work from a soft/stale condition.

This is why changing clocks, restoring an older database, or interrupting a long-running task can make health look surprising until you inspect the underlying timestamps and process state.
