Symptoms

  • Check WebCron reports that Joomla Scheduler is unavailable.
  • Scheduler Health may show Error because task-option discovery or task queries cannot be completed.
  • Joomla’s own Scheduled Tasks administrator page may also fail or be missing.

Repair

  1. Confirm the site is running supported Joomla 5.x or 6.x.
  2. Open Joomla System → Scheduled Tasks (or the normal Scheduler administration entry) and verify it loads.
  3. Use Joomla System → Maintenance → Database and core update/reinstall tools as appropriate if core component files/schema are damaged.
  4. Confirm third-party overrides/security tools are not blocking com_scheduler.
  5. Return to QCTNH and run Check WebCron.

Why QCTNH cannot “work around” a missing scheduler

QCTNH does not implement a parallel task engine. Joomla Scheduler is the authority that owns task types, recurrence, locking, and execution.
