Checking the Installed QCTNH Version and Site

You can confirm the installed QCTNH version and the site identity from the QCTNH administrator interface before comparing behavior with documentation or opening support.

Location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Task Nudge & Health → Support.

Check the installed version

  1. Open the Support tab.
  2. Read the Version value in the support-information card.
  3. For update-specific confirmation, switch to Status and compare Installed version with Available version.

Check the site

The Support card also shows the site URL. This is especially important after a clone, restore, domain move, HTTP/HTTPS change, or subdirectory move because QCTNH protects an existing registered identity from being silently adopted by a different origin.

Verify the result

  • Version matches the package you intended to deploy.
  • The displayed site/canonical origin is the installation you intend to manage.
  • If the origin changed intentionally, use Test Connection from the intended canonical URL rather than relying on background re-registration.

Joomla remains the update authority

Even when QCTNH exposes Checking the Installed QCTNH Version and Site from its own Status tab, it delegates update discovery/installation to Joomla’s Installer Update model. Joomla permissions, cache, minimum stability, and extension-update records therefore still determine what can be seen and installed.

If QCTNH and Joomla’s System → Update → Extensions disagree, refresh the Joomla update data and inspect its error before assuming the QCTNH package itself is damaged.
