Understanding the Free Edition Status Display

QCTNH’s edition display should read “Free — all features included.” It is an informational status, not a license state that can expire or downgrade.

What Free means in 2.0.3

• No license key field.
• No subscription validation.
• No Authorized Domain entitlement.
• No Basic/Pro/Max feature gating.
• No trial or preview countdown.

Do not troubleshoot it like a licensed product

If the service is Not Connected, investigate registration, WebCron readiness, networking, origin protection, or the service switch. Reinstalling a license key, refreshing an entitlement, or purchasing a tier is not part of QCTNH 2.0.3 operation.

Where to verify

Open the Support tab and review the support-information card. The Edition value should identify the free all-features-included edition. The Dashboard service checkbox controls whether QuantaCade wake-ups are enabled; it is not an entitlement toggle.

Useful evidence before making changes

Before acting on Understanding the Free Edition Status Display, capture the installed version, available version/update connection when relevant, site URL, Dashboard connection badge, WebCron state, Scheduler Health, and the most recent activity message. That snapshot makes it possible to tell whether a later change improved the correct subsystem.

For support requests, include exact messages and timestamps but omit secret values such as the WebCron key, service credential, database password, or Joomla configuration secret.
