Using the QCTNH Status Tab
The Status tab shows QCTNH’s installed version and Joomla update-connection state, and lets authorized administrators ask Joomla to refresh or install an available update.
Location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Task Nudge & Health → Status.
Status fields
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Installed version | Version reported by the active QCTNH package/component, currently 2.0.3 for this baseline. |
| Available version | Newest version Joomla’s updater currently knows for the QCTNH update site; absence does not automatically mean the connection failed. |
| Update connection | Whether the canonical QCTNH update site was found/enabled and usable by Joomla. |
| Last checked | When QCTNH last asked Joomla to refresh extension update information. |
Actions
Check for Updates asks Joomla’s installer update model to purge/refresh update data. If a newer QCTNH version is available and the administrator has the required installer permission, an Update QC Task Nudge & Health action is shown.
Keep update/support state separate from scheduler state
Using the QCTNH Status Tab belongs to QCTNH’s administrator/support/update layer. The Status tab’s update connection uses Joomla Installer and QuantaCade’s update XML endpoint; the Dashboard connection uses the Task Nudge service registration and native WebCron. One can fail while the other remains healthy.
Use the tab that corresponds to the problem so a software-update issue does not lead you to rotate a working WebCron credential or service identity unnecessarily.
Use the Status tab
- Open Components → QC Task Nudge & Health → Status.
- Compare Installed version, Available version, Update connection, and Last checked.
- Use Check for Updates when the information may be stale.
- If a newer eligible version appears, follow your backup/change process and use the Joomla-powered update action; then verify Installed version and Dashboard health.
