What Information to Include When Requesting QCTNH Support
A useful QCTNH support request should identify the site, extension version, scheduler state, WebCron/service state, and the exact failure layer instead of reporting only that a task ran late.
Include these basics
- QCTNH version: shown on Support or Status.
- Joomla version and PHP version: especially after upgrades or migrations.
- Site/canonical URL: note any recent HTTP/HTTPS, www/non-www, domain, or subdirectory change.
- Dashboard badge and metrics: Connected/Not Connected, Scheduler Health, Due Tasks, Active Locks, Soft / Stale Locks, CLI-only Tasks, WebCron, and QuantaCade Contact.
- Recent Activity: copy the event/message closest to the failure.
- Exact action: say whether Test Connection, Check WebCron, Save, a normal worker wake-up, or an owning Scheduled Task failed.
If a particular Joomla task failed
Include the task title/type, its next execution time, whether it is CLI-only, and any error from the owning extension or Joomla logs. QCTNH can reveal that WebCron reached Joomla and the application returned failure, but the root cause may be inside the extension that owns the task.
Do not publish secrets
Do not paste the Joomla WebCron key, QCTNH local service credential, database password, Joomla configuration secret, or other private credentials into a public forum post. Use QuantaCade private support when secret-bearing diagnostics are genuinely required.
Post-action verification
After completing What Information to Include When Requesting QCTNH Support, return to the relevant QCTNH tab and confirm the state actually changed: version/update fields for update work, Dashboard connection and Recent Activity for service work, or the intended QuantaCade destination for support/account links.
A browser navigation or successful button response is only the first half of verification; the resulting QCTNH/Joomla state should match the action you intended.
