Recommended Frontend and Administrator Checks During Human Review

A useful QCUL human review covers both the public site and Joomla administrator, with extra attention to the feature areas most likely to be affected by the selected update.

Frontend checks

  • Homepage and representative routed pages.
  • Navigation/menu behavior and template layout at desktop/mobile widths.
  • Login/logout with a normal test account where safe.
  • Forms/search/content interactions affected by the extension/core update.
  • Browser console/network for visible errors or failed assets.

Administrator checks

  • Updated extension/core version.
  • Dashboard/list/edit forms relevant to the update.
  • Menus, modules, media, editors, templates, plugins, and permissions where affected.
  • System Information/health and Scheduled Tasks after Joomla core updates.

Avoid irreversible side effects

The lab is quarantined, but QCUL does not claim to neutralize every custom external API or real-world integration. Do not intentionally trigger payments, shipping, destructive remote webhooks, or other irreversible actions during routine review.

Read evidence in context

Use Recommended Frontend and Administrator Checks During Human Review together with the other evidence for the same tested item. A version check, route check, log message, screenshot, or file/database diff is strongest when it agrees with the surrounding evidence and your own reproduction in the private laboratory; no single signal should be treated as universal compatibility proof.
