Using the About Tab

The About tab explains QCUL’s current product purpose and makes the free-edition position explicit without exposing developer diagnostics or licensing controls.

Location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Update Laboratory → About.

What you should see

• A plain-language description of creating a private copy, testing updates safely, reviewing the result, and pushing the exact tested update.
• A Free — all features included status card.
• No license key, activation, trial, plan, or entitlement controls.

Use About as a contract check

If screenshots or older documentation describe a licensed edition or a larger collection of administrator tabs, treat that material as obsolete. The production 1.01.14 About tab reflects the current customer-facing product position.

Practical administration note

For Using the About Tab, make changes from the live Joomla administrator and verify the result in the same QCUL tab before starting laboratory work. QCUL’s streamlined 1.01.14 interface intentionally hides developer storage paths, raw batch controls, licensing fields, and retired management screens; do not look for those older controls as part of the current procedure.
