Removing a Laboratory Permanently

Remove Laboratory permanently destroys the active private copy and its associated temporary lab/production rollback artifacts, so download required evidence and finish rollback decisions first.

Location: Joomla Administrator → Components → QC Update Laboratory → Laboratory.

Step-by-step procedure

1. Download required reports first.
2. Open QC Update Laboratory → Laboratory.
3. Select Remove Laboratory and read the confirmation carefully.
4. Confirm removal. QCUL removes the private environment and its associated lab restore points and temporary production rollback checkpoints.
5. Verify no active laboratory remains. If cleanup is incomplete, use Retry Removal rather than manually deleting random pieces.

Removal scope

QCUL removes laboratory files, run-specific database tables, access gate/marker/runtime artifacts, private packages/checkpoints, lab restore points, and production rollback checkpoints associated with the laboratory. A removed environment cannot later provide Undo Lab Update or Undo Production Push.

Safety check before update testing

Before relying on Removing a Laboratory Permanently, confirm the private copy still shows laboratory identity, its access gate works, and ordinary browsing stays inside the lab rather than silently using production. The cloned site contains production-derived data, so a laboratory that is not demonstrably isolated should be repaired or refreshed before any update rehearsal.
