How Refresh or Remove Laboratory Affects Lab Restore Points

Refreshing or removing the laboratory destroys the active copied environment, so its laboratory restore points are also deleted and cannot be used afterward.

Refresh Laboratory

QCUL removes the current copy and creates a fresh production-derived replacement. Completed evidence can be retained historically, but restore points tied to the old copied files/database prefix are no longer meaningful.

Remove Laboratory

QCUL permanently deletes the environment and associated lab restore points. It also removes temporary production rollback checkpoints tied to that laboratory, so both Undo Lab Update and Undo Production Push can disappear.

Before either action

Download required reports, finish any rollback decision, and understand that a later new laboratory requires a new test/evidence chain for production readiness.

Preserve a known starting state

If you cannot prove that relationship, refresh the laboratory from current production and perform a new test rather than manually reconstructing a state and reusing old evidence.
